So I heard a few days ago, that guys usually overthink little things… I think thats right. I still dont know what I said, I probably will never know…

I found out what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I came across this video about a National Geographic photographer. He took a bunch of shots that truly amazed me. I am a very good photographer, I can get better shots than some kids at my school who think they are good at photography. I would love to do what this guy did. This photographer took pictures of rural China and other third world countries and he showed real humanity. I will post some of my pictures as I go along. I love to travel, and I have traveled a lot, and I know how to get around. A National Geographic photographer is basically my dream job.

Backpacking Story!

STORY TIME. well, about a year ago, i was in mexico. i was at a canyon 4x larger than the grand canyon. i was in the sierra madres, and i decided to go on a dayhike. i packed up my North Face Recon with a Rain shell, a sweatshirt, my awesome camera (wich ran out of batteries D: ), my phone, my knife and a small basket with a few peices of bread and some butter. I bought this little basket for 5 pesos (50 cents!) from the local indians. i knew it would only be a mile or two walking there, to an overlook that some of the indians told me and my parents about, then a mile or two back. it was kinda cold out, and it was expected to snow. so i started to walk on the trail, and soon enough the small amount of rain turned to a light dusting of snow, very light. so i was walking and out of no where, i hear this wining, and i looked around, and i couldnt find where it was coming from, then a dog came out of some bushes. it looked like it used to be domesticated, but it now looked wild. most people would run/walk the other direction, but me? i pulled out one of the small peices of bread, slathered it with butter and gave it to the dog. it was really skinny, and it was obviously starving. it ate it in one gulp, then walked off, so i decided to follow it. about five minutes of following i came across an indian settlement. they were living in huts built into the walls of the canyon, it was pretty amazing seeing this huge indian settlement. of course i felt i didnt belong, and i knew that once the little kids saw me, they would run to be a bug me for pesos all the way to the lookout and back, so i backed away, but the dog saw me and decided to follow me to the look out and back to where i was staying. that dog was pretty awesome. sadly as i got closer an closer to the hotel the snow got heavier and heavier, then it switched to rain? it was weird, but it started to rain pretty hard, but i got into the hotel before it got tooo bad.

i gotta think to try and remember other stories, but i will do more

Gear Review #1 Kelty Coyote Backpack

well, my first gear review. i am a backpacker. i do it all the time, and when i get a car, i could go backpaqcking every weekend. it is the funnest thing i do. in order to go backpacking, i recommend a backpack (NO WAY!). the backpack i recommend is the kelty coyote. http://www.rei.com/product/780654 it can be found here at that url. it is a nice lightweight bag.

pros:

Lightweight, extremely durable

two cool colors

it has plenty of pockets for various things.

i have been in a rainstorm with it, and it is pretty waterproof. (its hard to set up a tent in the rain)

it pretty big

Cons:

not many.

internal frame, not as many lashing points

support is kinda weird, it rests on your lower back, but it feels like it leans to far away from ur back.

zippers get stuck.

i have plenty of outdoors storys… next blog if i remember ill tell everyone about a dog i met on a trail in the sierra madres (i was hiking alone, and it followed me, lol) in mexico.

P.S. dont judge, it may take me a few reviews to get down a good system

CALIFORNIANS… I AM ASHAMED! its almost like no one has ever experienced a thunderstorm before… OK i know, i do freak out when there is lightning, and i cant help it. but come on! everyone has to have a status about the thunder or the lightning…. oh well….

what happened today? well today it rained, and i got my homecoming ticket, and i freaked out because my computer flickered because of a lightning bolt that went across the sky. it mustve been close, right? i guess im being dramatic, but who cares? its what gives life meaning!

honestly, i dont know if anyone reads this blog. if you do, like the status on fb that this is linked to. i really want to know!

i started this tumblr a week ago to try it out, and i like it. i might start doing other things like gear reviews and stuff.

yet another day to complain about… well, not necessarily. i havent done any homework for my classes, cuz i am lazy ass… oh well, i guess there is nothing i can do!

lol, w/e so today my cousin from texas (yah, i have a lot of family in a lot of places)

chatted me on facebook and we talked for a while and caught up (btw shes a girl) and she talked to me about her boyfriend and blah blah blah. to tell you the truth, there are two thing i hate about her. one is that she is going out with a black dude, and for some reason i hate that… i feel bad that i am kinda being racist, but it makes me uncomfortable. second is that she says “YALL” ALL THE FUCKING TIME. the whole time i talked to her it was “yall in california” this and “how are yall doing” that and AHHHHHHH. and she has no idea what it is like to live in california. she asked me if i surf (i dont), or go to the beach every day (summer, spring break, some weekends), and she asked if we brought our surfboards to school, then went surfing after it (fuck no!). she even asked me if it is always sunny (its raining) and she asked me HOW MANY GAYS GO TO UR SCHOOL? ARE THEY ANNOYING? DO THEY HIT ON YOU?

lol texans… the world does NOT REVOLVE AROUND YOU.

there is one thing that is interesting though… she is pretty hot. and thats all ill say bout that.

this convo made me think on how california screwed up its state image. Do people in other states really think all that about us? That we surf, and we are all gay? i dont know and i dont like it. i kinda want to move away from california, like back to arizona. the only state with most climate conditions. There are alpine wildernesses with snow covered pine trees in the sierras, theres the high desert with large saguaro cactuses and yucca trees and huge Mesas, there is the low desert with small desert scrub and sand as far as you can see, theres the grasslands in the north eastern part of the state with a few large arizona ironwoods. then theres the swamps and other various estuary type conditions near the colorado. best place on earth in my opinion. id rather be pictured as a cowboy than a gay surfer dude. lol no brokeback.

well, tomorrow i buy my homecoming ticket and die on a few tests… good and bad in one day?

i didnt do a blog yesterday! oh well, its not like many people read this.

this is just for me to vent.

Well yesterday i did the psat, thyen went straight to band and didnot come home till about 10:30 the band got first place in our division, and we wouldve gotten sweepstakes if CHAUNCY BILLUP TOOK OFF HIS PANTS. only band geeks will understand that^

today i had my nice sleep till 12 oclock, giving me a total of 13 hours of sleep. you know how nice that is?

i then went to down town LA to get a suit. its a nice legit suit, over three hundred bucks. it came with a vest, a jacket and slacks. its black with a suttle pin stripe. i got a lavender shirt and a dark purple skinny tie. its pretty cool, i hope my homecoming date likes it. i plan on not really wearing the vest, or not wearing the jacket because i think i am being to formal.( i havent decided which to leave out)

now i have to do homework. i seem to eat US history, breath Biology, drink english, piss math, and shit band.

damn…
